Henrique Koehler sent us this rather unique road sign from Zagora which points left into the dessert and says “keep going for 62 days” (camel time of course).

According to Google Maps it’s a 60-63 hour drive or a 723 hour walk from Zagora to Timbuctu. I guess the camel route is a bit more direct.
