Walter Schwartz sent me this pics of a very nice map table with great contour lines. he said
“Here’s a topo map-table in the deli department of Dan’s Food Market, Leavenworth, Washington. Leavenworth is a popular gateway to a large wilderness area, so lots of hikers buy their supplies here. They can discuss their plans over the map. The map’s north is at the top of the photo, and Leavenworth itself would be somewhere in the packaged cheese in the background. I like many of the inviting place names, such as Enchantment Peaks and Leprechaun Lake.”
