Flanders was famous for lace production in the 1500s and this “lace” map of (and in) Bruges plays homage to that.

Obviously an actual lace map would be unable to withstand the elements, but this synthetic one produces a remarkable lace effect. The shot above is backlit by the sky and an autumnal tree, those below “zoom out” show it in context.
