Celebrating the Anniversary of Maps in the Wild: A Cartographic Adventure
Back in London after a rather unusual summer, I found myself gearing up for a unique celebration. This time of year is now known as the birthday of the “Maps in the Wild” website. With immense gratitude, I’d like to thank Steven and Ken for creating this fascinating website.
This year a name stood out: Christian Guémy, the renowned artist known as C215. His distinctive style involves drawing famous figures on top of old classroom maps, creating a stunning juxtaposition of history and contemporary art. I could not help but add another Petit Prince‘s author image to mappery.
I will finish my post toasting with Steven at the last Geomob London with a mappy glass
