The last one from Richard Martin’s travels (and they have been a great set!). “Whilst travelling around, it’s good to have a couple of bottles of wine – this map was spotted at Christchurch airport highlighting the different wine regions.” Can’t disagree with that.

Richard Martin spotted this camper van. “if you every get lost travelling around NZ, it’s always handy to have a map on the side of your campervan! Spotted in Franz Josef” Meanwhile, I thought Franz Josef was a person so clearly I need some navigation aids.

One more from Richard Martin’s vacation in New Zealand “The Centre of New Zealand  – so named because it was a central survey point in the 1800s, can be found in Nelson, South Island.  The map has seen better days, but the trig point is pretty cool! “

Another one from Richard Martin’s travels in New Zealand. “One of our favourite places in NZ is Wanaka, South Island – this amazing map can be found on the edge of Lake Wanaka, displaying the lake, surround mountains and some local walks.”

My wife saw these at the “A World in Common” exhibition at the Tate Modern recently and thought of me. I am not sure of the context, I think they may be photo collages by Malala Andrialavidrazana, an artist from Madagascar. If anyone recognises them and can tell me more […]
