We went to the Science Museum in South Kensington today. There was a gallery showing scientific developments in 17th and 18th century London. Just drool over this amazing globe of the moon from 1797.

I also loved this pocket globe tracking Captain Cook’s journeys, also from the end of the 18th century.

Finally there was a display of some late 18th century surveying kitwhich predates Ordnance Survey.
